Donor Recruitment and Retention Working Group

The Donor Recruitment and Retention Working Group brings together EBA members to share practical experience in donor communication, campaigns and engagement. Its focus is on attracting donors, encouraging repeat donation and improving retention through exchange of strategies, materials and lessons learned. The group also works closely with related EBA working groups and external partners to support a sustainable donor base.

Objectives and activities

The objectives of the Working Group are:

  • To provide a forum for sharing knowledge and experience on donor recruitment, retention, communication and marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • To exchange ideas, documentation and relevant materials, and to identify common training needs and opportunities.
  • To identify opportunities for synergy across EBA members, including possible bilateral and multilateral collaboration.
  • To coordinate with relevant stakeholders and contribute to the wider conversation on donor recruitment and retention in support of a sustainable donor base.

Activities

Information exchange among members on donor recruitment and retention approaches, communication strategies and campaigns.
Sharing practical materials, examples and lessons learned from member organisations.
Exploring collaboration opportunities and joint initiatives across EBA members.
Working closely with related EBA working groups, especially Donor Studies and Rare Blood Provision, on overlapping topics and shared priorities.
Ensuring transparency of activities through EBA communication tools and publication of approved deliverables.
