EBA Research and Development Grant

A Unique Opportunity for Advancing Blood, Tissues, and Cells Safety and Performance

The European Blood Alliance has recognised the need for dedicated funding to support research focused on the safety and performance of blood components, tissues, and cells. As a result, the EBA Research and Development Grant was created to fill the gap left by mainstream research grants, which often overlook practical research in this crucial area.

The primary objective of this grant is to encourage projects that demonstrate tangible improvements in EBA members’ performance or the safety of blood, tissues, and cells products. Key conditions for grant applications include an EBA member affiliation, practical applicability, no overlap with other grants, a maximum funding of €50,000 per project, and a commitment to co-funding from the submitting blood service. Preference is given to projects involving multiple partnering institutions and those that benefit a larger group of EBA members.

We invite you to explore the diverse and innovative projects that have been awarded the EBA Research and Development Grant on our website. By doing so, you’ll not only gain insights into cutting-edge research but also witness the impact of these projects on the safety and performance of blood, tissues, and cells products.
