SUPPORT-E Final Report: COVID-19 Convalescent Plasma

The SUPPORT-E final project report summarises the results and recommendations of the EU-funded initiative to improve the clinical evaluation of COVID-19 convalescent plasma (CCP) across Europe. Covering July 2020 to December 2024, it presents achievements in clinical trial evaluation, the EU-CCP Database, antibody testing, health economics and pandemic preparedness. Key findings include the COVIC-19 clinical trial, which provided evidence supporting the early use of very high-titre convalescent plasma in immunocompromised patients, and recommendations for plasma collection, testing, clinical trials and coordinated responses to future outbreaks of COVID-19 and other novel pathogens.
