The EBA and the organisors of the European Conference on Donor Health and Management have agreed on a long-term collaboration. The EBA will provide support and a stable base to the bi-annual conference, while the conference host remains autonomy over the organisation.
For the European Blood Alliance, donor safety and management is a prime goal and one of the core values and this collaboration fits perfectly in EBA’s strategy to ensure donor health and wellbeing. “Donors offer a unique gift and taking good care of them is essential” says EBA vice-president Pierre Tiberghien, “the ECDHM offers donor professionals state-of-the-art knowledge and networking, which is of great benefit to the EBA members’ staff. EBA is very proud to be involved in this initiative.” Conference President Henrik Ullom notes that “there are many developments in the field of donor health and management and the connection to EBA will ensure that the ECDHM will be able to source some of the best experts in the field”
The third edition of the ECDHM will take place in Copenhagen, from 5 to 7 September. Information and registration through the website: www.ecdhm.org
