About the Blood Byte Circle
The Blood Byte Circle is a Special Interest Group under the Innovation and New Products Working Group of the European Blood Alliance (EBA). It serves as a collaborative platform for exploring Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications in transfusion medicine and blood banking. AI has the potential to revolutionize blood services, from enhancing donor communication and optimizing supply chain management to advancing scientific research and ensuring data privacy. However, its implementation also presents legal, ethical, and practical challenges that require a collective approach.

This initiative brings together AI enthusiasts, experts, and practitioners from across European blood establishments to exchange knowledge, discuss best practices, and navigate the opportunities and challenges of AI in our field.
